UPDATE: June Lake Fire 9/18/2014 (morning update)

A fire line has been built around the fire at this time. Fire crews are continuing to suppress the fire and continue to aggressively attack the few hot spots that are still burning. Air operations will continue today to control these hot spots. The fire was wind tested throughout the night and did not grow.

Evacuations are expected to be lifted later today as long as the fire continues to be maintained.

The power on the south side of Hwy 158 has been restored.

Hwy 158 will remain closed today from Oh Ridge Point to the Peterson Tract/Rainbow Lane. Please remember to adhere to all closures for your safety and the safety of the fire crews.
