BAIL AND BOND
The Mono County Sheriff's Department will not refer any specific bond agency; however, the closest bail and bond companies are located in Bishop and South Lake Tahoe, both in California. We cannot do business with bond agencies not licensed in California.

To bond an inmate out of jail, you first need to select a bond agency of your choice and contact them directly. The bond agency will explain its process to you.

To bail an inmate out of jail using US currency, you must have the exact dollar amount. No personal checks will be accepted; however, we do accept cashiers checks and money orders. If the bail amount is over $10,000 and payment is cash, you must have a valid identification card along with your original social security card.
