School Resource Officer

SRO Deputy Wilson

Deputies that are chosen to be assigned the School Resource Officer position have successfully completed a training course specifically designed for school interaction and instruction. Deputies are given the opportunity to stay up to date on all new trends that are developing with our youth by attending various on-going trainings and seminars around the state.

Deputies speak to both youth and adult groups regarding drug awareness and recognition, crime prevention, safety concerns, stranger danger, and how to avoid violence. These are just a few examples of a Deputy’s involvement within the community on a continuing basis.

Deputy Mark Wilson is the Mono County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our School Resource Program or anything pertaining to the Mono County schools, please contact Deputy Wilson at (760) 932-7549 or via email at sro@monosheriff.org.
