Advisory Board infographic

The mission of the Behavioral Health Advisory Board (BHAB) is to support individuals by promoting recovery, self-determination, and wellness in all aspects of life. The Board advises and evaluates the various functions and policies of the Behavioral Health Department that are under the direction of the Behavioral Health Director and jurisdiction of the Mono County Board of Supervisors (BOS).

Mono County Behavioral Health invites all community members to visit our wellness centers in Walker or Mammoth Lakes. These centers host a variety of free activities each week, including yoga, support groups, arts and crafts, and youth programs. Additional free programming is available in Bridgeport and Benton.

The goal of the MHSA is to transform the public mental health system into one that is client- and family-driven, recovery-oriented, accessible, and culturally competent. In Mono County, the Behavioral Health Department uses MHSA funds to pay for a very wide array of programs, activities, and services.
