Good morning, everyone! I hope everyone has had a good morning thus far! Today is a new day!

Below, please see the FINAL official update from Cal Fire on the Round Fire:

Location: Paradise and Swall Meadows
Total Acres: 7,000
Containment: 100%
Structures Destroyed: 40
Structures Damaged: 5
Structures Threatened: No Immediate Threat
Injuries: 4 firefighters
Cause: Under Investigation
Total Personnel Assigned: 500+

Current situation:
Smoking debris may be seen on the western edge of the fire but do not pose a threat to residents or the communities.
Fire personnel and crews will remain on scene and on patrol in the communities to remove hazardous debris, etc.

Swall Meadows residents are the only ones allowed into the community at this time. Passes are required and can be obtained by the Mono County Sheriff's Office at the Command Post at Paradise Fire Department on Lower Rock Creek Road.

We ask that residents use extreme caution in and around damaged and destroyed homes. Structural instability, hot ash pockets, and fire weaken chimneys pose a risk for injury. Remember to use gloves and a dust mask when working around fire debris. Please note the health advisory that was issued earlier today regarding the fire debris of homes. Hazardous chemicals may remain in the ash and soil.

American Red Cross: The Red Cross is available in two locations to assist victims in their recovery process. A mobile unit is staged at the Wheeler Crest Fire Department in Swall Meadows.

Local Assistance Center: Cal OES has contacted representatives from the Department of Insurance, State Contractor's License Board, Franchise Tax Board, Department of Motor Vehicles, Board of Equalization, and Public Health Vital Record to be at the Crowley Lake Community Center located at 458 S. Landing Road, Crowley Lake, CA 93546 beginning tomorrow, Thursday, February 12th through Sunday, February 15th. Hours of operations will be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Any changes or updates to the days and hours of operations for the Local Assistance Center will be posted to the Mono County website at https://gis.mono.ca.gov/roundfire
