RE: Recent MONET Activity in the Town of Mammoth Lakes
The Mono County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MONET), along with the assistance of Mono County Sheriff Deputies, concluded a warrant investigation in the Town of Mammoth Lakes.
On the morning of Wednesday, December 4, 2013, Jose Priciliano Perez Torres, age 32, of Mammoth Lakes, CA, was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, and sales of a controlled substance.
A search of Mr. Torres’ residence was conducted, and after several alerts by the narcotic detection K9 “Tara,” over an ounce of methamphetamine was recovered, along with several thousand dollars in cash thought to be illegally obtained through the sale of narcotics. Mr. Torres was taken into custody by Mono County Sheriff Deputies and transported and booked into the Mono County Jail in Bridgeport without incident. Mr. Torres is currently in custody with all charges pending through the Mono County District Attorney’s Office.
