Children from Mono and Inyo Counties had the opportunity to "Shop with a Cop" to purchase school supplies, clothing and other necessities for the upcoming school year! Donations from the annual Christmas event made this secondary event a possibility and gave 12 students a head start to their school year! The event took place on Saturday, August 8th in Bishop.

Thank you to the Eastern Sierra Unified School District (Lee Vining Elementary School), Mammoth Unified School District (Mammoth Elementary School), and Bishop Unified School District (Bishop Elementary and Home Street Middle Schools) for their support of their students and the chance to make new relationships between your students and our local law enforcement!

Thank you to the participating agencies: Inyo County Sheriff's Office,Bishop Police Department, Mammoth Lakes Police Department, Mono County Probation, Inyo County District Attorney's Office, and Mono County Sheriff's Office.

A huge thank you to Bishop Kmart for your support, partnership and donations, and to Bishop Pizza Factory for your support and partnership! It was a great day! We will see everyone for the Christmas "Shop with a Cop" in December! - Jennifer M. Hansen, Public Information Officer
