Lundy Canyon Campground with aspens in fall colors

Lundy Canyon Campground

The Lundy Canyon Campground is not yet open for the season - we're working on it, stay tuned!

Operating under a lease from Southern California Edison, the facilities division of the Mono County Department of Public Works is responsible for the operation and maintenance of this campground since 1961. A daily fee is still at $16.00 per campsite per day. Due to its remote location campsite fees are collected in cash only, and reservations cannot be processed.

Water in NOT available in the campground.  When camping, the public is urged to keep fire safety in mind and exercise caution.

The campgrounds are always closed during winter months, and generally operated from mid-April through mid-November depending upon snow conditions. Early & late season travelers are advised to check Eastern Sierra weather forecasts prior to departure.

At an elevation of 7660 ft., this seasonal campground is set among beautiful Aspen Groves lining the banks of Mill Creek. An on-site campground host provides fee collection services for the 36 first-come, first-served camping spaces that include restrooms, trash bins, recycling bins, non-potable water spigots, picnic benches, fire-rings, and bear boxes. Every year several more bear boxes are added to this campground for your secure food storage. See the information packet link below for more on the campground fees, fee instructions, layout and vicinity map. Please respect this campground and store food properly, dispose of all trash (and make sure the dumpsters are latched), and do not build new sites or fire rings.

On occasion, some have confused this campground with the similarly named "Lundy Lake Campground" or the "Lundy Lake Resort". For comparisons of amenities and other information on campgrounds in Mono County see the Campground Guide link below. Please note that the water source feeding this campground is spring fed, so that campers should plan on bringing their own potable water or be prepared to treat the water themselves.
