Children from Mono and Inyo Counties had the opportunity to "Shop with a Cop" to purchase school supplies, clothing and other necessities for the upcoming school year! Donations from the annual Christmas event made this secondary event a possibility and gave 12 students a head start to their school year! The event took place on Saturday, August 8th in Bishop.
Sheriff Ingrid Braun had the opportunity to spend some time last week with Former First Lady Laura Bush while she visited Mono County with a group of friends for a vacation. The Mono County Sheriff’s Office worked with the United States Secret Service to ensure Mrs. Bush and her fellow travelers safely enjoyed their visit to our beautiful Eastern Sierra.

On Friday, 5/15, Mother Nature couldn't keep the students and alum of Coleville High School and the Mono County Sheriff's Office from playing a friendly afternoon game of softball!
The Mono County Sheriff's Office, along with law enforcement and first reponder agencies from across Mono and Inyo Counties, had the opprotunity to participate in the Bishop Home Show and Choo Choo Swap Meet at the Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 2, 2015.
The public had the opportunity to learn about important programs; sign up for the CodeRed Emergency Alert System; get hands on demonstrations on various equipment from each agency; and walk away with free goodies from all the represented agencies.
We've been flocked by the students at Bridgeport Elementary School!! The Bridgeport Elementary School PTO is raising funds for elementary school programs! In support of their fundraiser, we've been flocked!! Flocking fee is $20. Flockings are scheduled throughout March! The Flamingo Flocking Crew will place 30 bright pink flamingos in the yard of your choice. The flamingos will remain for 48 hours until they flock to the next yard! Join in the fun today and support Bridgeport Elementary School PTO and school programs!
Fire/Police Winter Olympics
During the week of March 9-12, firefighters and police officers from around the world will compete in the 2015 California Fire/Police Winter Olympics at Mammoth Mountain! Race events include: Giant Slalom, Slalom, Cross Country and Super G. This is a great event showcasing some of the other talents of our local, regional, national and international firefighters and police officers! On February 28, 2015, the Lee Vining High School, partnered with the Mono County Sheriff's Office, hosted a basketball fundraiser for the high school booster club! Members of the boys' varsity basketball team and deputies and staff of MCSO took on a friendly game of basketball to help raise money!
